Could this be the elimination of the benefits of owning a Small Private Corporation in Canada?
You may have heard that the Minister of finance has proposed changes to the income tax for private small business corporation on July 18. The proposed changes are significant and it has ignited significant debate on the tax front by small business owners and tax advisers.
These changes will have a major impact on tax planning in the future if the proposed changes go through.
A three prong approach is used by the Ministry to attack what they believe are “loopholes” that allow small business to pay less taxes then compared to employees.
Call your accountant or call Usha Pawluski Professional Corporation to discuss your options.
