North Edmonton Business Association is a membership based organization with a focus of building opportunities by hosting events where networking, interactions, conversations and meetings can occur.. The idea for North Edmonton Business Association started on April 29, 2014. It's been an amazing and fantastic journey to see the interest, potential and development in North Edmonton.
The start up phase is one of the toughest part. We learned how to create a business association, how to build a nonprofit business from start, how to put a team of volunteer together, how to build a website and manage website, about various social media platforms and their benefits, learn how to plan, deliver and host events. It has been a phenomenal journey to see how much has been accomplished with our team of volunteers:
Networking events, face to face meetings continues to yield a more immediate return on investment.
- Our Official Launch event in Sep 30, 2014 had over 300 in attendance using social media to promote NEBA. Thank you very much for the interest and support
- Receiving a Proclamation Declaring May 30, 2015 as NEBA Day
- Hosting our very first Lunar New Year Event with Mayor Iveson and 16 Elected Officials in attendance at Londonderry Mall in 2016 - bringing cultural diversity and many together in celebration of this event. 2016 LNY on CBCNews, 2017 LNY on GlobalTV and CTVNews, 2018 on CTVNews.
- Awarding over $7000 in Total through NEBA NPC Scholarships to children (age 12 and under), families and CastleDowns YMCA in support of multicultural fashion, culture and talent
- October 2017 we received an email advising we had been nominated for the a Business Award
Our results continue to be grow. In last quarter, likes to our facebook pages increased by over 15%, visits to our website continues to average 3300+ a month, over 2100 connections on linkedin, over 2100 on twitter, over 2000 on our distribution list with open rate above industry average, new and renewing members and sponsors joining NEBA.
Over 67% of the time, a consumer will do their search and check things online before making a contact. More and more time are spent using technology from grocery being delivered right to your front door from Amazon to being able to park and pick up your grocery at a grocery store. Our social media results helps to increase awareness of our members and sponsors.
We are very pleased to announce that given the growth that NEBA is experiencing, (as with any business), we are looking to hire a dedicated Executive Director to execute the mission statement for NEBA, service our sponsors and members for retention strategy and actively work to attract new members and sponsors.

The Clareview Multicultural Centre (CMC) is a not for profit organization locate in the Clareview Rec Centre (3804 139 Ave) which enables Edmonton’s new and emerging multicultural communities to build and strengthen their capacity to grow and integrate into the social and civic life of the city.
The CMC mission is to provide and facilitate access to space to meet community needs, to facilitate culturally relevant program development and intercultural relationship building, to create opportunities to promote the exchange of knowledge and skills among users and partners of the Clareview Multicultural Centre, to develop skills and confidence of new and emerging multicultural communities to participate in Canadian Society as formal organizations.
The CMC provides numerous services to the community, ranging a fully equipped computer lab, that is free to all patrons, a Youth Lounge that is rentable for groups of all ages for parties, studying, events, and watching television on a 60 inch television, a Seniors Lounge that is similar to the Youth lounge but smaller, it too is rentable by patrons to watch television, and have meetings or parties.
We offer two board rooms for profit or commercial agencies to rent, they seat 12 adults, as with all of our rooms, it is equipped with a 60 inch smart TV and white board.
We also have 3 shared office spaces to rent, equipped with a computer and telephone, we help start up not for profit agencies get a foothold on the business of not-for-profit.
The CMC caters to not for profit as well as commercial businesses for space rentals (Board Rooms/ Youth Lounge/Senior Lounge), ensuring your every need is met by our friendly, professional and caring staff.
